It is of the utmost importance that consultants are aware of their assignment, role and relation to the customer, and that they are able to adhere to these orientation points all the way through the assignment. Often, though, it is not easy.
In this easy-to-read booklet, we briefly describe the general and formal working conditions of consultants, based on our own experiences.
The focus is on clarifying a number of the most common and practiced consultant roles by means of two fundamental, design parameters. Finally, we briefly point out some of the problems that are caused by many consultants’ preference for a certain kind of work role..
